A popular getaway destination due to its favorable weather, year-round recreation potential and close proximity to breathtaking scenery, St. George attracts many visitors, especially from the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas areas. Two of the main attractions of “Utah’s Dixie” are its 12 scenic golf courses, which feature lush, green fairways winding through black lava rock and red sandstone. The other is Zion National Park, a grand spectacle of narrow canyons and towering sandstone monoliths. Another attraction for St. George’s visitors is shopping at the Outlets at Zion. A collection of over 30 brand-name outlets, including Eddie Bauer, IZOD, Polo Ralph Lauren, Dressbarn, Factory Brand Shoes and Van Heusen, the Outlets at Zion will delight bargain shoppers. Across the street is another shopping destination, the Promenade at Red Cliff, which features stores such as Gen-X Clothing, Big 5 Sporting Goods and Old Navy. Many of St. George’s top chain restaurants are in or near these shopping centers, including Chili’s, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Ruby River.

Some of St. George’s best “Ma and Pop” restaurants are near another shopping destination, Ancestor Square, which incorporates historic buildings and includes an eclectic mix of boutiques, art galleries and eateries. Another top shopping destination is Red Cliffs Mall, anchored by JCPenney, Sears and Dillards.
